Gran Torino
Thought it was going to be an action film... I don't like action films very much. The movie surprised me. It has a powerful drama with well developed characters and a unique plot. Definitely not for the those who hate bad language... you have to endure it, understanding its value to the plot. Great story of redemption, forgiveness, and cross cultural friendship. No sex scenes, but it is does have violence and really strong language.
Man on Wire
Tells the unbelievable true story of the man and his friends who snuck into the twin towers and strung a wire from one roof to the other--so he could tightrope walk across. Inspiring for those of us who aren't wired to dream out of the box. Can be slow--it is a documentary, but the concept is so amazing it kept my attention. Everyone should at least look this one up on youtube and watch the footage.
