we went to the beach and stared at the tiger

My favorite moments of the Van Deusen trip to Bandon, Oregon included:

• Watching the movie We Bought a Zoo, then going to visit the West Coast Game Park Safari. We were so perplexed by this family run zoo, we went home and googled "how to buy a tiger." Did you know you can just buy one over the internet? 
• Dance parties put on by DJs, Uncle John and Aunt Annababe
• Celebrating my nephew, Colin's, first birthday--complete with shark cake made my Lance
• Seeing Myles and Will play together in a driftwood house on the beach. Every kid should play in a driftwood house at sometime in their life. They are such magical places. 

 

 

And my favorite incriminating photo of my texting mother... 

My nephew, Myles, is saying...

"Grammy, the goat is eating the stroller. The goat is EATING the stroller, Grammy!"

Yet, my mother is too engrossed in her texting to notice.
